A Generation in Waiting explores the creation of new visual languages that reflect current trends in the way Arabic text is communicated via social media and discusses the relationship between traditional Islamic crafts and contemporary fine arts.

Nasser Al-Salem, whose detailed calligraphic works explore the contrast between the historical tradition of Islamic calligraphy and contemporary signs and logos. For Rhizoma, Salem presented a distinctive work that explores the theme of the waiting generation as a new slogan and an indication of the making of new histories.
